Passive scans only read — they fetch your pages and DNS records without sending any attack payloads. Safe to run on any site.
What is an active scan?
Active scans send test payloads to check for SQLi, XSS, SSRF, and similar vulnerabilities. You just confirm you own or are authorized to test the site before running one.
